This series consists of application files for garden areas (GA) in District B [Darwin] area in the Northern Territory. The file cover has date application received, subject (name of mine or person names in application) locality, area of claim, dates for objection, hearing, recommended, approved or refused, gazetted, posted, application plotted, map number, if forfeited or withdrawn. Each file contains the application for registration of a mining tenement other than a lease with a sketch of the area being applied for and measurements in chains, any objections received, whether the application is approved or not, rental payments, and general correspondence. File GA 11B includes correspondence regarding a water dispute and a cardboard sign used on the leasehold. File MGA 70B contains a transcript of proceedings in the matter of the application by SJ Clark and CD O'Neill for Market Garden Area No. 70B (Northern Territory of Australia Mining Warden's Court, 27 April 1973). File MGA 77B contains a transcript of proceedings in the matter of the application by LJ and JM Reynolds for Garden Area No. 77B (Northern Territory of Australia Mining Warden's Court, 22 September 1977).
